Dreaming the pyramid

                                  Spiritual journeys are rarely easy to go through. Nor are they easily described, since
                                  you are essentially dealing with subjective things like individual perception, feelings and
                                  memories (not to mention personal issues that inevitably arise). So, rather than write a
                                  long piece on my journey and how the information on this site came to be, I'm going to
                                  spare you the details and simply present what I consider to be its highlights. And these
                                  came in the form of...

                                  Voices.
                                  I first started hearing these back when I was twenty-two. Describing them is difficult, but
                                  they seemed to come when I was either just on the verge of falling asleep at night or
                                  when I first woke up in the morning. I guess you could call them telepathic in that I
                                  physically heard them, but I'm also certain no one else could - just me. Their messages were always somewhat cryptic (that is, although clearly felt or heard, they were rarely literal in meaning. I had to figure their meaning out). As far as I can tell, the voices weren't gender specific either, although the general "feeling" was that they came from an older, wiser person or Being. To this day, I hesitate to define the voices' origins as being spiritual or extraterrestrial, which is why I just lump the two together and call the source Spirit. And never once did I feel like I was in danger or that I had anything to fear from these voices. It was just the opposite. In fact, I always felt grateful whenever I heard them. Being Native American definitely helped as well. It's nothing special to talk about hearing voices with elders and members of the First Nations community, whereas in other circles one might get "the look" from non-approving people.

Dreams.
Starting again around twenty-two years old, I started having incredibly
vivid dreams. In the beginning they involved mostly battles between
myself and entities such as dismounted knights, animals such as
bears, crocodiles, and rams. I would usually emerge the victor, but
left with the feeling that somehow or other I was taking the hard way
out - almost like on some level it would have been better to resolve
conflict peacefully. The real shakers for me though were dreams that
had to do with flying or swirling triangles, pyramid shaped buildings,
mathematical equations, and mandalas (or how I like to call them,
"crop circles of the mind"). At times I also had dreams concerning
our collective human history and prehistory - especially of places
such as Atlantis and Lemuria. Precognitive dreams were and remain
frequent.

Touches on the skin.
Every so often, I would feel touches upon my skin. These felt like
cool wisps of air or drops of water, and always occurred when I was
alone. Spirits? Interdimensional entities? I can't say I really care,
nor do I even want to know. It's enough for me to simply state when
the touches occur that the entity(s) can stay if it has my best
interests at heart, or leave if it doesn't. I don't really want to label the
source.

Tuning into nature.
I've always been in love with the outdoors whether it was hunting,
fishing, or birdwatching. But in 1991, my drive to be outside in the
great outdoors really kicked into gear. I felt a need to escape into
the wilderness to seek out my own personal answers as to why I
was experiencing strange dreams, hearing voices, and feeling
touches on my skin. And escape I did; by undergoing a 4,500 km
canoe trip across Canada. To date, I've canoed for well over nine
thousand kilometres on three extensive canoe trips - the best trip
in my opinion being one where I accompanied my two nephews
and two brothers from Edmonton, Alberta all the way to Quebec
City, Quebec, in Canada.

Rises in self and global awareness.
Spending all that time canoeing made me thirst for self awareness
and knowledge. For the first time, I began to explore the murky world of the occult and metaphysics - specifically any discipline pertaining to the pyramids, astrology, numerology, religions, ancient civilizations, and human sexuality. This meant spending entire days in bookstores and libraries and coming out with five or more books at a time. I also wanted to find out more about science and physics, but always more from a right brain mindset as I felt too confused by current scientific laws and theories. Quantum, however, remains something to this day that really fascinates me. And thanks to the financial assistance of people who believed in me, I also began to travel and spend time with other cultures - especially Indigenous ones. Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and the Canadian high Arctic are places I've had the pleasure of going to so far. Indeed, if it weren't for the guidance and direction provided to me by elders and people from different cultures, I doubt I would have understood as much. Gradually, I started to become more aware of the meaning of my dreams and visions.

Peace of mind and body.
As the pieces of my puzzle began to fit, I began to let go of the more distracting elements in my life such as having too many possessions and friends that did not share my enthusiasm or interests in spirituality. I also took up meditation and martial arts in order to help me focus better. Listening to hard rock became less frequent and I started enjoying softer tunes. Today, I especially enjoy songs without any lyrics at all - or else ones that are in different languages so I don't find myself focusing on the words.

Bouts of extreme creativity and curiosity.
As my levels of awareness and understanding rose, I started to feel a raging desire to put my thoughts into words and images via any medium I could find. Following the advice of a Native elder, I began to write Dreaming The Pyramid, a book that would take nearly fifteen years to create. During that time I also created a visual storytelling version of my book in the form of forty brightly hand-painted cards and even a 58 minute length video as well as this web site. In fact, I really had no other choice but to channel all of my energy into these works. I was obsessed.

Contact with extraterrestrials, intradimensional entities and consciousnesses.
For obvious reasons, this is one aspect of my journey I haven't normally talked about with others in the past. My base philosophy in this regard is that everyone in the entire universe - and beyond - is fully interconnected as members of one family and created by the same God or Creator. I'm sure that some members of this family get along with others more or less well, but I also have complete faith that whoever is watching over us knows what they're doing. I have memories of speaking and relating with these entities prior to being born, from childhood, and again in my early twenties and in the present. I also feel I should add that in nearly all cases, I've always felt that the great majority of these Star People have our best interests at heart.

An eye on the future.
Although I do live in the moment, I also now have my mind focused on a couple of steps ahead at all times. Although every indication seems to point towards our eventual annihilation via either war or environmental disasters, I really do believe that an oasis can only come through in a crisis and that at some point, some form of critical mass will be reached and we'll suddenly "get it".
