THIRD EYE
Let's continue thinking outside the box for a second, shall we?
If the eyes are the windows to our soul, could the same be said for the Great Pyramid? America's founders certainly seem to have thought so, especially when they decided to place an eye on top of a pyramid on the back of the Great Seal. Often thought of as a symbol for evil used by secret societies such as the Illuminati , this eye has been greatly misunderstood, for despite what we may hear or read on the matter, the Seal's eye is not evil. It is, according to modern new age and esoteric ideology, a perfect representation for the third eye. Third eye is the body's sixth sense allowing us to stay in touch with Spirit and feel and see our way through time and space. That's it. Nothing scary about that, is there? Didn't think so.
Often correlated with the pineal gland and located in the center of the forehead, third eye is your doorway to other realms of consciousness. It can warn of impending danger, provide flashes of genius or inspiration, and even enable spiritual communication across great distances between people. Third eye can also facilitate and strengthen the connection between you and your spiritual guides and allow you to mentally travel back and forth through time. Third eye is a spiritual tool that can provide the bearer with abilities and vision extending far beyond the capabilities of our everyday senses.
Whether band members were aware of it or not, third eye made a pretty cool cameo in 1981 in The Alan Parsons Project hit song "Eye in the Sky", in which these lyrics can be found:
